Attorneys for Colorado death row inmate Nathan Dunlap filed a petition for executive clemency on May 6, 2013. This petition asks Governor John Hickenlooper to commute Mr. Dunlap's death sentence to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole. The petition and supporting materials, including more than 20 letters in support of Mr. Dunlap's clemency request from hundreds of former judges and prosecutors, faith leaders, civil rights activists, international human rights organizations, academics, and mental health advocates, and ordinary citizens, are now available here.
